UNION HALL COMMUNITY are seeking helpers…

After the wreck of the Tit Bonhomme last Sunday and the loss of 5 crewmen…

UNION HALL Community are seeking helpers to donate food (soup, sandwiches and buns) and also to help out this weekend with the serving the recovery teams both Sat and Sun 9am.

A boat tragedy fund has been set up in the AIB Skibbereen branch (sort code 93-63-75 a/c 10009183) in support of the crew members and their families for anyone who may wish to donate.

    Hi there

I dropped soup and muffins off to community hall today and Mary O’neill mentioned that you are sorted for the rest of the weekend. I am making soup for about 60 for monday and am dropping back off to community hall tomorrow afternoon. I can help for 2 hours on monday from 2.30 – 4.30 and can also make anything you need for tuesday and also give you help from 1pm on tuesday if you need it? thinking of you all and can help with anything else you may need? Michele

Thanks so much Michelle. All help very gratefully received and THANK YOU. The coordinators try to manage the number of people they have at any given time so the area round the pier does not get too crowded and that there is still access for the coast guard and civil defense teams to get in and out with their boats on trailers.

Just a quick note to thank ereoyvne involved in the preparation for last weekends Pierce Purcell event in Skibbereen. Although being a member of the losing Monkstown G.C. team I must say that I really enjoyed my game around your course. The course was in excellent condition with the greens being the highlight – they were superb. I will definitely be returning to Skibb for another game and recommending a trip to Skibb to my golfing friends. Congratulations and well done. Best Wishes to the Skibbereen team in the upcoming rounds.
