It has never been quicker or easier to get to Baltimore and West Cork. Transport to this part of Ireland has improved markedly in recent years. At Cork airport the new terminal opened its doors in 2006. There are lots of direct flights from cities in Ireland, Britain and Europe. The road from Dublin to Cork is now almost all motorway and the route from Rosslare ferry port has also been upgraded. The final stretch of road to Baltimore has lost none of its circuitous charm, but significant improvements have been made here, too.
