Cape Clear Ferries operates ferries all year around to the spectacular Island of Cape Clear . Cape Clear Island is known as the Queen of Carbery’s Hundred Isles and rises from the ocean like a mighty whale off the rugged coast of West Cork, is Irelands most southern Gaeltacht island which is naturally stunning and towers out of the Atlantic ocean to give amazing views of roaring water bay, Fastnet Rock lighthouse and mizen head peninsula. The island has wild romantic scenery with sparkling harbours, high cliffs and rugged hills covered with flowers, heather and gorse.

Cape Clear is rich in archaeology with amazing stone walls, ancient standing stones, marriage stone, Bronze Age monuments, Napoleonic signal tower, historic lighthouse, 12th century church and 14th century O Driscoll castle.

The islands services and diversions include, marked walking trails, petting farm, a goat’s farm, birdwatching observatory, Museum/heritage centre with fastnet rock display, hostel, yurt village & campsite, beaches, shops, pubs and tourist office.
