Mews Restaurant serves an ingredient-focused daily tasting menu. Each morning, ingredients are gathered from the local area for the evening's menu. Seafood comes direct from the fishing boats, only a stone's throw away. Meat is sourced from local farmers and hunters; fruit and vegetables from market-gardeners; and wild ingredients are foraged in the surrounding countryside. The menu changes according to what ingredients are available at that moment- providing an honest taste of time and place. Each ingredient is prepared and presented in a manner which conserves and emphasises its integral flavour. Inspired by traditional Irish familial dining, the daily set menu is served as a succession of dishes to share amongst the table, promoting a spirit of togetherness and conviviality and a unique dining experience.
The beverage list at Mews echoes the ethos of the food and decor. We source the very best of Irish beers, liqueurs and spirits, unique local drinks and wines which reflect the natural terroir of their birthplace with as little interference as possible. We showcase wines produced by Irish winemakers and vineyard owners or wines with a historical Irish connection. A beverage pairing is available every evening, selected by our sommelier to match and enhance the flavours of each course.
