La Isla de Heir

La isla de Heir (o ‘Hare’, como algunos la llaman) es la más pequeña y despoblada de las tres islas principales que están frente a Baltimore, en el West Cork. También es la que nos podemos sentir más alejados de las presiones del día a día (si no se tiene en cuenta que la ‘capital’ de la isla se llama París). Está sólo a unas cien yardas de tierra y en sus otros tres lados, está flanqueada por las Cien Islas de Carbery. No tiene pubs pero si un restaurante, además de alojamientos ‘B&B’ y casas de veraneo. El parte más sudeste de la isla, hay una idílica playa de arena, Reen. Se puede llegar a la isla de Heir en ferry desde Baltimore o desde Cunnamore.
